Genre Challenge - hosted by Kell
Twelve months, twelve genres. That’s it. That’s the simple idea – you decide if you want to take part in the mini, midi or maxi challenge and then choose from the list of twenty genres. You then read at least one book of your chosen genre for each of your months as follows:
I've gone for the Maxi challenge, which is -
Maxi Challenge – choose twelve genres and allocate one to each month, reading at least one book from each genre in turn.
And these are my chosen genres and the months that I'll be reading them in. That's not set in stone though, the order may change on a whim. I've allocated books to a couple of the genres, but again, that may change.

1001 books you must read before you die
I'm up to 320 on the combined list at the start of 2012 and I'd rather like to make 360 by the end of the year. More would be a bonus. I've set my target at 40 on the 2012 BC 1001 thread and have signed up for the VBB again. I've got plenty of books to read, more will be on their way from the bookboxes, there are loads of freebies available for my Kindle and if all else fails, there's the library. All I have to do is read them.
